God’s plan always involves human beings. He recruits us to live in relationship with Him and serve the interests of His kingdom. He allows us the privilege of working with Him and participating with Him in the accomplishment of His plan. He issues the invitation and we must respond.
In the Exodus story, God decided to invite Moses to participate in the great rescue of God’s people. This was a true privilege for Moses. It offered him a chance to “redeem” himself in the eyes of his own people. He had left town under some dark circumstances. Further, it afforded him the privilege of engaging in a significant adventure that would benefit his own people. And, of course, it allowed him a chance to walk side-by-side with God in accomplishing one of the greatest feats in human history – the Exodus.
